Hello my name is Kim and I became a member of Lijst Helder after being asked by Anna. I am currently the president of the Utrecht Student Alpine Club (USAC). The USAC is one of Utrechts oldest (1928) and most active student sports associations. We have 400 members, and the board consists of 6 people. We organize activities, education and certification in indoor sport climbing, outdoor rock climbing, off-piste tour skiing and, of course, Alpine mountaineering. We also hold mountain-sports related lectures, a monthly drinks-evening at our regular café the U-ROCK! and regular fun events. I consider sports associations an invigorating and essential aspect of student life. I would like Utrecht University to value the motto of 'Mens sana in corpore sano', by awarding board members better bursaries, among other possibilities for improvement.
