Programme
The economic crisis has a huge impact on the academic community. The "Langstudeerdersboete" is in the air and research budgets are in a steep decline. The UU has to make substantial budget cuts as well. However, these cuts shouldn't come at the expense of the study associations or the amount of subjects one can study, which are both crucial to the academic development of students. In addition the university shouldn't implement policies to increase study rendement that have an adverse effect on students, such as an increase in the minimum resit grade from 4 to 5, a BSA in the 2nd and 3rd year and the expiration of grades after four years of study. In these times of crisis, students should be represented by critical, experienced students who are not afraid to open their mouths when necessary.
List Helder ( Helder means clear, comprehensible, unclouded) is composed of people with experience in co-determination and study association board members and of both Dutch and international students who won't shrink from confrontation with the board of the university. Who not only have a critical view on university policies, but they also present innovative ideas on subjects like the library, canteen, ICT and housing policy. Next to this, they also focus on sport accommodations for students, which are, right now, quite expensive. In this time of crisis, clarity is of utmost importance!
*Resit regulation: We stand for a resit regulation in which a student can retake every exam, independent of the grade he/she has gotten previously. The highest grade (examination or re-examination) counts as the grade for the exam.
Vote for clarity, vote HELDER!

- Clearer information supply, education structure and co-determination structure and expenditure- and saving strategies.
- Studying should be possible without being pestered by complicated subject registration, resit regulations* and taking part in resits should also be allowed when the original grade was a passing grade. The "Langstudeerdersboete" shouldn't cause the university to take drastic measures such as letting grades decay after four years of study
- A vibrant Uithof with more shops, bars, student housing and cheap accessible sporting facilities.
- Good ICT for both student and employee. Improved university website, online overview of workplaces, more online video colleges with an overview website and more administrative rights for regular users.
- Reasonable and wise budget cuts - before any cuts are made which bring destruction to key areas of study and student life the university should take a very critical look at frivolous university expenditure
- 6. Extended opening hours of libraries and canteens with more workstations in the library and a cheap meal of the day in the cafeteria.
